Promote Positive Learning
Developing ourselves and others from the inside - out
Whilst basic skills are clearly important, simply being trained in them is not what makes the difference. Rather, 'change' is achieved by mastering the tough 'soft' skills.
The learning process is significant. Not simply a transfer of skills, this is a journey of personal growth that encompasses values, self-belief, self-esteem, self-efficacy, emotional maturity, confidence, improved communication, respect and integrity. Valuing ourselves and enabling and encouraging others to do the same, helping them to feel empowered and to recognise their strengths and talents, encouraging them to fulfil their goals and outcomes and achieve their own unique potential - this is what makes the difference. Once achieved, basic skills and employment follow more easily; without it, little is achieved.
