Following their considerable experience at C-FAR delivering community based residential programmes of rehabilitation for young adult persistent male offenders, the Directors of Life Change UK have designed an innovative programme of training to help others understand and develop their skills in maintaining positive relationships and outcomes. Recently part funded by the LSC, the programme provides a meaningful insight into why people behave as they do, as well as a range of essential skills and tools to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive change. All provide essential learning for those in the Workbased / Lifelong Learning UK teaching and training sectors or children's and young people's workforce, particularly during their first two years in practice. Each course is equivalent to approximately 10 hours learning or one day's face-to-face training, making them ideal as essential foundations to teaching practice, filling gaps where traditional training is difficult to access or resource. All courses, including assessment and a reflective practice journal, provide a clear and easily understood insight into the associated issues, as well as a unique set of 'tools' that can be used to support and improve professional practice.
